inner fender liners

the plastic inner fender liners on the front of my 79 f 150 are not in very good shape. they are cracked up and they fell off after some serious mudding. i have put new screws in them and they stay on for awhile but eventually they fall back down. i was wondering if you guys knew where i could get new innner fender liners for a 79 f 150. i looked in my lmc magazine and they have a thing they call a fender seal set w/ fasteners. is this what i am looking for? it looks like it is only in the back of the fender and not the whole thing like the fender liners that i have. any info on where to get them would be appreciated.

inner front fender

Upper Right Corner=Parts Shop: Motorhaven. Do search on "inner front fender" in Motorhaven. They are $99 each

They are plastic; could try hot glue and fiberglass repair for quick and dirty repair to lengthen their life for awhile.

you can also hold the iner fenders on with what are called christmas trees you can get them at any body shop . they will alow a little more play when you get in a bind. wont tear up as bad when they get jerked off the truck. yes it happens from time to time

i also found them @ macs but they are 112 each. is this the price range i should expect? i might just have to go find a decent used set @ the junkyard because i am looking to invest my money in a snowmobile

I looked at my rear splash shields and they do not look like they'll fit the front. You might check the classified section of FTE if you don't want to pay $100 a piece. There are quite a few 70's trucks being parted out and I would bet you can find these there.

If I were you, I would buy some fiberglass, resin, and a can of bedliner. It worked for a friends jeep. The only tuff part of the job was makeing the molds. Just a thought....

I agree with Racer on this one, luckily, you already have the mold of the fender liner. This is one of the projects I have lined up for the spring, simple enough. Plus gaining the experience of doing something like this can help down the road from paying a big bill for a replacement panel and such.

you could probaly get them at the bone yard very cheap if you can get the screws out, I didnt realize they were worth anything because i killed a good set geting them out of my parts truck trying to get the fenders off.

Would those inner fenders fit in my 73 F100? They sure look like they could keep alot of dirt out of the under side of the finders.
