Tires?

Does anyone know if 285/75/16 tires will fit on a stock 2002 F250 SD 4x4,BFT without rubbing? The stock tires are 265/75/16 and I want to reduce the gap in the wheel well.

Yes they do fit. There are members that run up to a 315/ I believe, not sure if those are in spec, or will still have the same hauling capabilities. But you are safe with the 285's. Happy modding!

Tires?

yes they will.. I have them on my truck and have had no problems at all with rubbing or bottoming out. Besides they seem to fill the wheel well a bit more than the 265's

Post Tires?

Go for it! I put BFGoodrich 295/75R AT-XO's on my 1999 F-250 4x4, and they fit great. Plus they look really great, and best of all I haven't gotton stuck in the mud since I put them on! Can't say that about the factory Generals that the truck came with, tho they gave me 85,000 miles, so I can't really complain.

The speedometer reads about 6 or 7% low (compared to a GPS unit), and my mileage went up about 10%. The tire dealer said I was pushing the limit using the stock wheel width size, so maybe I'll wear out the center a little earlier than the edges.

On extreme turns, they come real close, but do not hit anything. The AT's don't handle quite as good on the highway as the old highway type generals did, but I expected that. No big deal.

Definitely worth it!

Tires?

I put the 285/75/16 on mine and wish I had gone a little bigger. I think the 315's probably would have fit without rubbing. I still think the 285's don't fill the wheel well as much as I would like. I have to keep load ratings in mind also considering the 12,000lb 5th wheel with an 1800lb tongue that I pull.

I went by one of those digital speedometer that D.O.T. puts on the side of the road and my speedometer was dead on with what it said I was doing.

Tires?

I know guys running 295's and 305's all day long on stock rims. Although the 305's wear a little funny and have to be squeezed on the rim, they do fit. I am going with BFG 295's on my S/D soon. I think the factory alum wheels look GOOD, so I have no reason to change them out. Hope the 295's give good life........Anybody have any concerns with 295's??????

Tires?

What's the tallest tire that can be run on a bone-stock 4x4 Superduty? If I were to deal with recal-ing the speedo/odo, I'd sure prefer to jump up to 35" from the OEM 31 inches and change.

I'd be interested in a tall narrow tire with roughly the same load rating as the OEMs.

You may want to check out the 255x85x16 size. They are 33" tall, 10" wide and have a 7.5" tread. They'll fit on stock wheels.
