Yes. We started going last year and intend being there in '04 again. We don't enter the truck, though. It would have been hard to considering I just got it in November. We enter one of the Mavericks. If you haven't been there yet, it is a good time and worth attending. Now, if only the weather cooperates this year!
MAV I have been to everyone since 96. Yeah agree I hope the weather is better this year. Friday was awesome last year but saturday was terrible in the afternoon.
we've been going for the past several years... ford nationals, mopar nationals and of course the all truck nationals
last year if i remember right, the all truck nationals was the first weekend in a string of about 14 that it didn't rain
living about 30 min. from carlisle makes it great with all the stuff that comes in there each year, and each year they all seem to get bigger and bigger

What is the swap meet area like? Looking for a Decent cab for my '40('40 thru 47will fit). I used to live in Sacramento and people talked about the Carlisle shows.

as far as the swap meet goes.... i can ususally spend about 4 hours just walking up the rows, and thats not including the time to stop and look at stuff.... there is sooooo much there (more so at the ford show) as far as "old rusty stuff" goes. i wouldnt be surprised if you could find the cab youre looking for.

I've been there & had a great time. This year I'd like to try getting to the 4x4 show in Bloomsburg, PA instead. Thanks to the obscenely high gas prices I have to pick & choose just 1 show to attend. If the Bloomsburg show is like the show in Lima, OH it is awesome!!!!! Only 4x4's allowed on the grounds, trucks lifted so high I could stand under them! Okay - so I'm 5'2" so that may not be all that impressive but it was to me! LOL! Anyone want to try meeting for that show? If so post in the NY Forum ok? Thanks!

Carlisle: We're going as spectators, been to Carlisle a lot but this is our first Ford event. Benny Parsons will be there, the new Bronco prototype is there, and they're giving away a 64 1/2 Mustang this year. I searched their website but couldn't find the classes you can enter. Anyone have a list?
Cowlady: Been to the Bloom 4x4 show, too. It's not as good as it was, at least not off-site, because they no longer allow the parade through town. The trucks are impressive though, acres of lifted metal everywhere. And the Tuff Trucks competition is fun to watch. Ex-pen-sive though. (gate fee, food, etc.)
