headers... again...
My financial situation has changed for the worse as of late. I was looking at the FPA headers, but decided that they weren't going to happen (to spendy). Today I ordered some Headman 89100's for my truck.
Only to find out later that they won't fit on a "camper special" or any other truck that has a front sway bar.
Why does crap have to be so difficult?
So, does anyone know of a pair that will fit. The truck is a 72, F250, 2WD, 360, AT, Ranger XLT, Camper Special, PS, Oh and it's brown.
Thanks
Sam

I went by the Summit and Jegs sites.
They have the Dynomax Blackjacks for around $100.
The only thing listed is that they don't fit with a A/T floor shifter.
Doesn't say anything about camper special or sway bars.
You may want to call them to find out.
Also check out Flowtech's as a possibility.

The way the footnote was worded, that the 89100's wouldn't fit a camper special and any other turck with a sway bar, I just assumed that all camper specials had sway bars.
I looked under the truck this morning, and I don't see a sway bar.
My idea of a sway bar is: a "u" shaped rod that has it's ends connected to each steering knuckle and it crosses under the chassis and is connected to the chassis with some rubber bushings.
On my cars, the sway bar is mounted to the chassis just behind the front bumper. On the camper specials that have sway bars, I assume it's mounted to the chassis behind the engine, therefor getting in the way of a header installation.
Since I don't seem to have a sway bar, maybe the Headmen 89100's will work. I'll post success or failure.
Thanks for the dialog...
