4 bolt mains, 600cid?

Hey guys I was wondering if any of you guys knew if Ford racing, or any other company produces a big block, preferably aluminum, that has a 600 cubic inch capacity, and four bolt mains. The reason im asking is because I want to build a 1200Hp engine to put in an 1970 F100. I think it can be done with 600cid and a supercharger. I want four bolt mains for the durability, if anyone has advice on a block for such an application im listening.
Thanks

1200HP! I would be worried about my drivetrain! 2 horsepower per cubic inch is almost impossble. I think you are going to need a deep wallet to get those #s. If you do I would like to see a burn out!!

2 hp per cubic inch is not impossible, even naturally aspirated. For instance, NHRA Pro Stock engines are 500 CID, and make in excess of 1350 HP. IHRA Pro stock engines make 1700 hp, w/ 815 CID. A supercharger makes it easy. Speed and horsepower are equivelant to money, so how fast do you want to spend? A set of Motorsport SCJ heads, a decent 12-71 blower, about 8.5:1 compression. Contact www.racepartsdistribution.com about the block. Hope this helps. Oh yeah, how about 40 spline axles for a ford nine inch?

I use a ford motorsport block. Mine is 572ci. 4.5 bore 4.5 stroke. I spin it over 7200 all the time. I also have a bryant crank, oliver rods and je pistons. So whatever you do dont cut corners on your rotating assembly. go with a 4.6 bore and you can make 598ci. But trust me, a 572 is just fine and it leaves you with over .100 for clean up bores.

I think it would be hard to even get 100,000 miles out of an engine pushing that much HP

You wouldn't. But then, thats not the point. Like the fellahs mentioned, 1200hp can very readily be pulled from one of these blocks with a supercharger...just not cheaply.

What size loads do you plan to pull with these trucks? I can pull a 10,000 pound trailer with my stock 460 just fine. Putting that engine in a F100 I wouldnt want to tow more than about 5000 pounds. I am thinking you may want a F-700 or something larger to handle that kind of power.

I dont plan to pull anything, I plan on using it to run a crazy fast quarter mile and make entire intersections fill with smoke an I burn off a pair of tires. The whole idea is to get my 1970 F100 to move as fast as possible, without nos. I want to run 1200 Hp. It is a long term plan, and i just thought I would start to collect as much info as possible so that I can build the best engine possible. I plan to equip the truck with a roll cage, and yes the entire driveline will be beefed considerably, if not wholly replaced with aftermarket parts.

You better have very deep pockets. A Pro Stock engine starts around $40,000 (and that was a few years ago). Figure on at least another $20,000 in drivetrain and suspension to get the power to the ground. A supercharged engine will definetly be cheaper but to achieve 1200 HP will still require upwards of $20,000 and you doing alot of the work.
