Bad news guys...
My 11 month old daughter just got hospitalized today. She has something called RSV (I never heard of it). It's supposed to be some kind of respiratory stress virus that really only affects kids under 1 year old. Her lungs are full of fluid and she's having difficulties breathing.
Hard part is, she's 25 miles away in Lander. So, the wife is staying with her while I slumber at home with the 3 year old daughter. Gonna be a lonely evening! I might be on here awhile...
The things that have to happen for me to get a day off from work!

It comes from breathing a lot of dust and other foreign matter.
If you have ever been around drywalling operations, you know that dust that comes from cutting and such, thats the dust that cause this.
Its pretty bad. It hurts kids the worst because they don't have fully developed lungs yet. I wear a mask when I do drywall.
Do you have a fairly new house? I suppose living in drought stricken Wyoming isn't helping.
You might wanna start running a Filtrete filter in your furnace if you have forced air heat, and a whole room machine if you don't.
Hopefully all turns out well.

Well finally some good news
She is doing better, IV fluids and breathing treatments have gotten her almost back to normal. She still has a cough, but otherwise is doing fine. The doc says she should be able to come home tomorrow, provided she continues to do well and starts drinking fluids.
This is an airborne virus that is being passed around. Adults and children over 1 year old are pretty much immune to it, or at least deal with it like a common cold. The under 1 year old kids (esp. preemies) have a really hard time shaking it off. Our kids picked it up at daycare, several others have come down sick too. There are 4 others in the hospital with her right now.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers... much appreciated!
