What type of brake fluid?

I've got a 1983 ford 150 van....
what type of brake fluid does it require....

DOT 3, the cheap stuff. Go DOT 5 if you doing a lot of hard braking on the Austin hills.

i think you will find that ford fluid has the highest temp rateings out there hope this helps
