PTO?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-Sep-02 AT 11:27 PM (EST)]A few things I have seen:
Winch
Generator
Dump body
Snow plow
Air compressor
Fluid pumps (tanker trucks)
Hydraulic lifts
--tow trucks
--rear end lifts for roll offs (cary second car like a car caddy)
Three point hitch (on a mid 70's full size Bronco, used on a farm)
--I imagine the PTO was added not factory, guy fabricated 3 point hitch.
You can get a hydraulic motor that will provide rotational power to drive anything you want - just put on a pulley and belt. The only limits would be your imagination and fabricating skills.
Fun to think about, eh?

PTO?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Sep-02 AT 10:39 AM (EST)]To clarify,
By PTO, do you mean an actual hydraulic pump or mechanical motor capable of transmitting engine power to an external device, or the gearset in the transmission that enables the installation of said pump/motor?
I interpret a PTO as option 1, an actual pump/motor. I was under the impression that Superduties were simply capable of having a PTO installed. There isn't a PTO by my defintion hanging off these things from the factory. Or is there? .
Oh man, I'm gettin' excited just thinkin' about it.

PTO?
Forty! I almost had to make a trip out to the tool shed when I read that post!
The hare brained schemes were already going into effect.
So I guess I won't be putting on a winch, compressor, hydraulic lift deck, generator, anti flying super hero gun turrets, etc... Man, that's depressing. I had big plans. Nothing enough money won't fix though.
