Talking 1954 Ford F100

Hey guys it is me again. I have one more question before I finalize this deal. Will you guys look at this truck and tell me what I should pay for it. He wants the $2400 that was offered in the bid by another person but he will sell it to me for that price. Ed

I would, as long as it's a good, dependable truck. It looks arrow straight, and rust free. I've been watching that one too, to see what it would do bidding-wise.

I have about 6 pictures and they all look good. He swears that there is no rust but the engine cannot be a 292. It has to be a 272 or 239 for that model to be original. I do not care, I just want a nice enough truck to drive while I am working on it. Did you see the one that went for $1300. That was the one I was going to get but the little button would not click fast enough to change the bid. You see I blame the button dont you?

Hi

If it's the original engine it was a 239 cu in. It looks worth the money to me.

If I had found a truck that looks that good before I bought my F-3, I would have paid $2400 for it WITHOUT an engine or transmission....

Thanks guys. I have just sent the guy the $500 deposit. I am off to Bogota Colombia for a few weeks and when I get back I will go pick up my new truck. Ed

BTW you guys are going to make this restoration so much easier then if I had to o it by myself. I have restored several motorcycles and one camaro before but this is my first truck and I am looking so forward to it. Thanks again and you will be hearing from me regularly. I plan on only a few modifications and only then for improvements and comfort. It will be all ford no matter what else I do to it. No Chevy or Dodge parts will we allowed.
