1965 F100 Headliner

Greetings All,
I have just come into possesion of a great old truck. It does not have a headliner and I have found out it requires a molded multi-panel headliner. I have searched the internet with no luck finding such a headliner. Can anyone assist on where one can be found and purchased? I would like to put in an original style headliner. I am located in Arizona. Thank you all!

You can purchase one from Denis Carpenter. Its is the same ugly cheep facctory type that came with these trucks, lol. Seriously unless you are going for a strick restoration there are better options. But if you really want one Denis has them for $175.

Cool

ok so I have the same problem with my 65 and while I like the original I dont like the idea of spending 150+ on one so what are some of the replacement ideas

Take it to a local who does interior work show him what you have and what the job consist of no bigger than the headliner is he shouldn't charge much unless he thinks his work is gold. I had mine done for around $100 roll and pleated. (If you have the old one they can use them sometimes as a pattern or even cover them) Check around on prices, I think the custom one looks better than the old cardboard ones anyway. Good Luck, and Welcome to FTE fellows...

There is a company called Roddoors that makes an ABS headliner. It will cost you more than the $150 for the cardboard ones, though.

The Roddoors stuff is pretty cool. If you are planning on covering the panels, there are a number of options available, including finding some ugly panels at the local salvage yard. Some folks have used sign plastic or a plastic that is thin enough for forming. Several options out there depending on what the final outcome you desire is.

Happy paneling... --Mike G

1965 F100 Headliner

Just this morning on e-bay, I ran across a guy selling three NOS headliners for 61 - 66 F100. New in box. Just do a search for F100 Headliner and you should be able to locate this auction.

Well I dropped the bucks for the original cardboard headliner (from Dennis Carpenter). It did not come with the clips so I had to call and remind them the catelog states the clip kit is included..hehe. I am into originality and was very suprised to see the headliner came in a flat container...the cardboard is flat (which is not like the original). I sure hope it will form to the metal cab. Any comments here? I have seen original headliners and they are certainly not flat..hmmmm.
Thank you all for your input here...what a great forum!

Yes they are flat.It takes a bit of work to get it in.Start at the center front and work your way out.Don't push too hard on it or you may put a crease in it
