Not to brag but.............

I pulled out a open diffed 4x4 03 4.7 1500 dodge of my pond(dry) he (and me in my 78)
were in the pond going through a deep reveen and he was in the back I went though it first in my truck strattled it and granny helped ALOT and made it over fine he tried to fallow and went in at the wrong angle(no problem I have a New 4x4 dodge and can go anywhere) SO he thought. I got the chain and I was hooking It up to my rear bumper he SMARTLY popped his hood and rapped it around his front bumper got in our trucks and he gave me a thumbs up so in granny she wentI got slack out of the chain and pulled him through. Only when I got out of my truck and saw skid marks I asked him if he took it outa park he said....aaaaaaahhhhhhh NO.And the sad part is his parents spent $24,000 on a truck for a 17 year old that will be TRASHED in less than a year AM I the only 17 year old that TAKES CARE of my trucks.and doesn't beat them just to beat them when people want me too.
Ya maybe it's joulousy and envey but if my parents wanted to buy my a truck for $24,000 I would get one of that last 03 7.3 Crew cab,6 speed man4x4,man hubs dually lariet used
not some CHEESEY 1500 4.7 dodge.
I'll never get that nice of a truck Mine are FUGLY my 78 has more dents than a demolition derby car. I have a STRONG bond with the truck as I practicaly bilt the truck for my needs. it has an NP435 and a rebilt 300 and a new dash pad, grille, a 74 dana 60 trac lok, Iwai CD player, Cobra 29 CB It came a long way sense I bought it for my first truck for $200 and poeple were practicely laghing at it saying what you gonna do with that piece of $%$$ and . NOW ALL that work has really payed off. I will try to get pictures on before and it now if someone can tell me how??

dustin...i understand the fugly part i my self have a 78 f-150 mine is a shortbed 4x4 and talk about ugly its about 8 diff colors and rusty as hell....people as well as chicks look at it and laugh and the comments and all that disrespectful crap. but i love it my idea is if its already ugly i wont have to worry much when iam thrashing it....trees, ditches, small children...it dont matter as long as iam having fun. so i know what you mean by people giving you crap about the truck. in my case i dont show them its bad *** by doing a smokey burnout or anything like that, i just simply plop my 35's on their hood and waint for the reaction

hell yeah! ford rules the land again! i completely agree with the parents going out and buying new trucks for thier kids. its not only good to buy your own, but to work on your own. i've had to do every little thing on my bronco(ok i had some help on a few items) an am not gonna tear it up like every other 16 or 17 year old out there.

At least you had a 4x4 to start with Once I rebuild my T-18 my 4x2 is going 4x4. When I'm done I'm going to have a $1500 truck that'll wipe anything that's come off the production line in the past 15 years. See sig for what it's gonna be. Add to that a spooled rear end (until i decide if i like it or not) and that's one formidable opponent.

FYI, i'm 18 (only for 10 days or so), so yeah for us

Ford does rule. And its nice to appreciate the things in life. Not have rich parents to go out and buy everuthing for you. Ive worked my *** off for all my *****. And it feels good to know you did it all one your own.

Also Im 18 only for another 20ish days. Rock on

I have to agree that fords rule. My parents did buy me a truck, a 78 ford f100 4x4. I have done nothing but work on it, it is a nice truck now, to me. I think the color on the title should be changed to rust, and instead of year, say johnny cash cadilac, but i like it. It can out mud all of my friend's trucks, with the 38's and lockers in both axles. My folks are not rich, but they get by. There is nothing better than the feeling that you did all of that work to it, and never took it to a shop. I am only 16, got my lisense about 6 monthes ago, but still running ticket free, and hell if i will ever beat on one of my trucks, too much work to fix what could go wrong, even though a ford can take it. The cops really do not care here in Iowa too much, drove past them with exhaust only on one side, just wave and you will be ok.

i bought my truck when i was 19 back in 1989, i have owned my truck for over 14 years and i have have taken out every bolt except the ones inside the transmission. everyone made fun of my truck when i first bought it but over time i have proven that it is a good and reliable truck, i have never thought of selling it, that would be like roy selling trigger, the body is not pretty,( i replaced the body about 10 years ago with 75) but it drives just as good as a new one. i never thrash it, i drive resposably, that is why it has lasted so long and my buddy's have all sold there trucks or put them out to pasture because they abused them and they were always broke except for one friend of mine with another highboy, it used to be my daily driver but now i drive my 78 bronco more now that i have 2 kids

I have to agree with the whole parents buying their kids new vehicles too. ell my parents sorta helped me out, my dad gave me his teenage truck, a 1966 ford f100 2wd, and ive been workin my *** off for the past 3 or 4 years to get it the way i want. Its gonna be a nice 4 Wheeling Beaut. I think it does help a lot to have to work for your truck and have to actually get down and dirty leaqrning how to build it. Reall values there.
By the way im only 17 too and i got the Ford blood runnin thru my vains as well
later

My parents helped me out in the best way possible... they bought me a POS '71 Chebby 2WD. Talk about learning the hard way... that hunk o' crap was broke down in the driveway more than it was on the road!
