Trivial problem but I've been to every local auto parts store, JC Whitney, Macs, Dennis Carpenter, and every internet site I can think of and I can not find a replacement bulb for my 79 F100 dome light. Any help would be appreciated.

I think those are the bulbs you need, I am running from memory here.

I am going to try to mount the dome light fixture from an 85 van in my 78. It has a dome light and twin map lights also.

 

That is close but not quite it. It is the same style in that it has dual poles, however; the 79 has an open loop in each end.

 

OK, it has been a while since I looked, did you check those sites for the right bulb?

 

I believe the open loop and bullet styles will actually interchange.
