Digging into my new (to me) 2000, I found that it has a chip from BD Power. I tried calling them, but got put on hold forever, so I decided to ask here. It is a gold colored pack, but there are no numbers or anything on it. Does anyone know exactly what this is, and what power/torque it adds? Does anyone have any experience with it?

My truck also has 4" exhaust, and a restrictor in the wastegate line. The truck seems to run great (8.34 second 0-60, 15.91@89mph 1/4 mile according to my Gtech comp.).

Is this good, or just average for a chipped truck?

Did you send them an e-mail? I noticed you hyperlinked to BD's website in your post.

I would guess, based on your times, that it's an 80 hp chip.

 

I sent them an email, haven't heard back yet. I guess I'll just try to be patient . . . . .
