Radio display is fading

On my 99 expy, I have recently noiticed that the display on my radio seems to be fading, like the lights are on while you are driving during the day ( which they are not). I remember reading something on this awhile ago, does any one have a fix? Or a head to sell who's display is fully illuminated?

thanks,
jason

If you search for "radio display" in all forums you'll find that certain Explorers have this problem. You're radio may be the same series. The guy at shareamemory.com seems to have a handle on the problem but requires a $19.95 "donation." My wife's explorer has the problem but she's afraid to let me mess with it.
