What all is involved in pulling the water pump on my Ranger Edge , 3.0 6CYL.?

Water Pump — 3.0L


Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301). For additional information, refer to «Section 414-01».

2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube (9B659). For additional information, refer to «Section 303-12».

3. Remove the fan blade (8600) and the fan shroud (8146). For additional information, refer to «Shroud—3.0L and 4.0L» in this section.

µ 4. Disconnect the water bypass tube (8555).

5. Remove the accessory drive belt (8620). For additional information, refer to «Section 303-05».

µ 6. Remove the bolts and the water pump pulley (8509).

µ 7. Remove the bolts from the A/C compressor mounting bracket (2882).

µ 8. Disconnect the lower radiator hose.

µ 9. Remove the bolts and position the bracket and compressor aside.

µ 10. Remove the bolts and remove the water pump (8501).
