any of you guys ever play around with a 534? my grandfather had one in his dump truck(i was very young, about 8 when he got rid of it)

They are torquey but don't have much potential for hot rodding. You can easily get over 550 cubes from a 460 if you have the money. Then you would have more torque and a ton of potential.

I'd still like to play around with one. Custom pistons can be made, as can custom cams. Heads can be reworked.

Anything can be done with enough $$$.

I wonder how much one of those could be stroked?

we had this discussion one other time but them engines are so big no one tohught you could cram it into one of are truks, would be nice though as i have one in my back yard under a tarp.

you would have to get another set of rear leaf springs, and put them in the front

they are huge there bigger than the FE428 and take a look at one of them in a truck it doesnt look like much bigger will fit but hey anything can happen with a some time, money and the proper tools.

my dad said that he saw one in a ford truck, said that it looked as if it would be hard to change the plugs in!

Kinda like the old mustand with the 428, basicly had to life the motor out of the car, change plugs, and drop it back in.
