I was looking at a used 2001 F250 PSD. It was at the dealer's lot with the key in it. I started it and it ran fine, but it was very low on diesel (low fuel light on) ,so I shut it down. The salesman came by and I asked if I could take it for a test drive, and that it would need some fuel. The salesman said ok, so we took off for the station about 1/4 mile down the road. It died about a block from the station and we coasted most of the way. We had to push it about the last 30 feet to the pump. We put fuel in it and it started fine after a couple of tries. The truck ran fine and I ended up buying it.

John, that story just proves the story, "Sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you".
Husker, If you read John's post, you better tell your brother to stay out of poker games for a while.
As for me with two tanks, I head for the truck stop when the needle goes below 1/2 on the second tank. Starters cost to much to take a chance on.
