Not looking for a low riders but with the slightly taller tires and now a slightly taller ride hieght due to going all aluminum in the engine bay, the 1996 Bronco my dad has almost hits the roof of the badly designed garage at his office...it's so bad some people with large SUVs esp with roof racks had damaged there vehicles...the policy is park trucks/SUV's at your own risk....it's a large garage that was just built wrong....
He is getting really close now to the roof....he doesn't want it really low, but has no plans to go off roading more than a fire road for boat access.
We didn't realize the truck would sit that much higher just going to aluminum heads.

We're not being snide ! We'll help him. We just had to harrass him some first.
Alk3myst, What size is your current tires & wheels.
You may be able to go with a 31X10.5 for example if you are running 32s or 33s which would get you 1.25 to 1.75 inches lower. Does your truck have any kind of lift in it...suspension or body lift? If so, maybe a reversal is in order.
I have seen some lowering kits in the past. I will see if I can find them in my notes and bookmarks and post on them later if I find them.
Again, the heckling is in good sport. 99.999% of the Bronco guys on here try to find was to gain altitude and ground clearance. We're not used to thinking in the other direction.
This company has lowering 1" and 2" springs etc. for an F150. This is not an endorsement of this company and I haven't dealt with them either its just an idea.http://www.tsliftkitstore.com/produc...t.asp&ID=25638
i would say the easiest way to bring it back down would be to add the extra weight .. hehe, though filling the bumper with concrete might be excessive, its something cool i always wanted to do .. or to lower the tire size a little, if your running that height, almost 32 inches, u might wanna back down to a 31x10.5, which usually measure just under 31 inches, as in the case of a bfg etc. this will probably drop you down about 1 inch. i am impresseed to hear that the alum h eads raised the truck that much. what heads are you using and hows the truck other then garage height clearnance with them? i can assosiate with the problem, as my old bronco used to do the same thing. it was funny though, becuase they had drop ceiling tiles for the roof of the garage, and it was under the building. So whenever i was coming in or leaving, everyone knew, cause my cb antena went ... thunk thunk thunk thunk .. hehe, and usuall ymanaged to leave a line down the whole lenght. This of course prevented me from lifting any more .. which annoyed be, because i was basically sitting stock. lowering the truck with suspension i would have to reccomend againts, simply because it always leads to alightment issues, especialyl with the minor height change kits.
Well I'd rather not add a weight solution as that is more like a bandaid + takes away performance and handling (what little it has ....It may help at times when towing the boat though
The aluminum heads and the rest of the parts really make for a different truck....the Bronco feels powerful now, like it wants to move...it had 'torque' stock, but now it seems it could tear the tires right off.
The run down in parts is:
K&N Aircharger
BBK Power-Plus Twin 61mm Throttle Body
Edlebrock Performer Truck EFI Intake Manifold
AFR 185's
FMS rocker covers
Comp Cams Pro Magnum 1.6 roller rockers

Sorry,
Just don't hear many bronco owners wanting to go lower - i was not trying to be a tailhole, it was in fun..........+ it was late and a few beers too many
Besides, eating more would only lower one side
i push the limit in the airport garage with my '96

you could put some BFG Velvet Ride shackles in the rear, they supposedly drop the rear an inch or two, and they give you more droop when offroad, which id good. in the front just get shorter springs, i've seen springs cut befor, to take an incho ot two off. if you do to much hight adjustment to the front end, your gonna deal withh TTB isuues, just like lifting em

I like Michigan because we have a moat keeping Canada out.
Not to be rude but half of the fun of owning a bronco is the curiosity of "do i fit in this car park?" I know it's a headache but it is the price we pay for owning a Bronco.
yeah it's fun, however this one is an everyday thing. There are about 10 people (I know of) from the company that have kissed the 'lowest beam' (the same height as the rest, but comes after a dip so unless you tread slowly you bounce into it).
This garage was built and abandoned since it didn't pass inspection for the contract....the bank bought it later on at fire sale pricing and just stipulated "cars only"....there are roadside meters and public lots ($5-10 a day without contract) available.
