Need feedback on Cab Visor for Superduty
The only manufacture I have found is Lund and if your SD has Clearence Lights, which mine does, Lund only has 1 or 2 choices. I did see, this past weekend, a SD w/Clearence Lights with a Lund Visor, and the lights were NOT as visable, seemed to be blocked.
Looking for someone who may have some good info and feedback regarding a Sun Visor (Cab Visor) solution for a SD with Cab Lights ?

I have the lund visor on my 03SD w/roof lights. They dont seem blocked at all to me. Maybe if standing up close and directly in front of the truck. As far as night time, they are visible from all angles.
One word of caution I will give to you. Lund provides self tapping sheet metal screws to hold the visor to the cab. The cab has VERY thin sheet metal. 2 of the screws provided by lund worked loose and could not be re-tightened as the cab metal would no longer bite the screw. I thought for sure I would have to have a body shop install nut-zerts. I removed the headliner to see if i could just use SS bolt and nuts, but there is no way...to many beams and double walls to gain access to the bolts.
In a last ditch effort, I replaced the bad screws with slightly larger screws and now after almost 15,000 miles they are still holding strong. I still fully expect them or others to fail and will have to take the nut-zert route eventually.
Also, I would strongly advise you use clear body tape (like we use under the mudflaps) at all visor to cab contact points. Even with the visor secure, the roof does have flex and will eventually wear on your paint, i would think.
Hope that helps

here's a tip. i have installed many lund visors in a truck conversion company. we put the same adhesive used to hold the hight tops down on vans. we put it around the holes to keep it from leaking and help hold it. anyway once we had to replace a cracked visor and when we removed the screws we had to use piano wire to cut the adhesive off. try a similar type cualk gun adhesive.
