F350 4x4 ride height

Is it just me or was the '99 F 350's taller than they are now. It seemed when the first came out that they were taller.

You might have seen a diesel next to a gasser. The diesel is about 3" lower in front.

Also, if there is a "plow" package, the plow one sits higher (I think).

My 99 sits higher than 00 and newer stock trucks do. I have airbags but even deflated it sits higher in the rear by about 2 inches compared to my buddies' 2001 set up exactly like mine...I keep the bags inflated up front all the time because it looks so funny with them down...I was also told that 99s sat somewhat higher as well by a few people...

the height of the 250s was changed, as they went from the 4 inch to 2 inch block, but i thought the 350's were the same. I hope its not lower .. cause i want higher when i buy mine in spring.

When the '99 models came out they seemed huge! Up until then the Dodges were the tallest. It just appears to me that they lowered them a couple of inches. It could be I'm used to them now. If you have a '99 350 pull alongside a newer one and compare.

After complaints about the rear end block height, FORD went to a 2" rear over the 4" rear block. People that tow 5ers could not get their trailers hooked up.
I do believe the newer '00-'01('02) come with a 2" rear.
