do you smell a weird odor? or are your windows fogging up with a oily film?

If those are happening then you got yourself a bad heater core & it will need changing.

I had the same problem on my 94, new heater core, hoses and t.stat and still no heat. Turns out a pen fell down the defroster vent on the top of the dash and was blocking the door in the heater box - thus cold air only. Off with the glove box, out with the heater core, stuck my hand in the heater core cavity and pulled out all old Bic pen. Hope this helps.

How this does not sound too stupid..... My first teruck was a 79 yota went all winter without heat until in the spring i realized that the heater control was not moving the rod to switch the heat on. Have you checked the cables on the controls?

I had low to no heat in a 89 bronco. When that heater core went bad when I replaced it I now have great heat again. That bad core didn't leak or smell just didn't work for ****.

my 90 done this no heat at all , turns out core was stopped ,flushed it and all was good. but I guess you already checked that , mine is hot enough now to burn you if you wanna hold your hand in front of it. sounds like a blend issue of you are not getting heat but the heater core is warm , door must not be sealing.

Could be something real simple. The temp dial uses a little plastic thread to regulate hot and cold. That plastic piece is connected to a small cable which opens and closes the vent door, I believe. Pull out your box in the dash and see if it's broke. It might have broke and is just stuck on cold. This happened in my 93 F-150.

I had the same problem with my 92 F-150. Heater hoses were hot, but no heat. Turned out I had some serious blockage in my radiator, even after flushing. I had some tranny fluid leaking into my cooling system. Replaced radiator since it was the source of the problem, then the thermo, and heater core, because there could have possibly been some blockage there as well from the pretty reddish concoction flowing through it. That fixed the problem for me!

But, as suggensted in some of the other replies, your problem might be behind the dash....the mechanism behind the console controls are pretty fragile...a plastic connector might have snapped, or a cable or little push rod might have slipped off or broke.

Good luck!

Bryan

i can see the cable, and the arm that the cable hooks onto...it then pivots on another arm...all that i can see moves and works like it should...guess i just need to pull the dash apart...
