Well if money isn't a problem, determine if you wanna say I have stroker motor, a blown motor, or a nos motor, or all of the above. Go down to a local speed/ machine shop and throw money at them, you will go fast. A set of afr heads, a stroker crank, and a decent cam, with the appropriate fuel delievery and chip should net you huge hp and tq. Too many ways to go about makeing hp and tq, all have their advantages and disadvantages, which one would you like to do? Don't forget about the tranny and rearend. later

Go for a 571 ford engin and put a 16-71 supercharger you will only get about less than 1-MPG!!!!!! but you will be extremly fast.

Well short of having the rotating assembly balanced. You have the 351 rods, free. 302 stock type pistons, the price varies $150-400+. The stroker crank runs $280-350. Pretty cheap huh? YOu take all the parts above, your flywheel/flexplate and damper to a machinist and have them balanced. The stoker forces the motor to take in more air, when you stroke a motor you increase the crank size/ stroke, the piston travels further down drawing in more air, you feed it fuel and there is where the power is increased, usually the stroker will supply more tq than hp but if you add a good set of heads and the right cam, along with the right amount of fuel you could potentially have 400-500 reliable hp and even more torque, if the combo is proven or well thought out. The stroker addition alone on your stock motor should give you 20-25 more tq and maybe equal if not less hp, if I had to guess. Call a machinist in your area and see what they charge to balance a rotating assembly, the price will vary due to differences in crank quality, but they should be able to give you a rough estimate of what to expect, should it cost more than suggested don't be suprised. later

Had a 408 stroker built several years ago, with all forged lower end parts , TFS heads, edelbrock performer truck manifold, stage 3 porting on both heads and intake and everything else needed to make serious HP with this beast...lookin at 8K+ for something like this.

Talking stroker yes \m/

the stroker engine sounds like a good idea 400-500 hp would make her quick hu. with some good heads and a good cam would probaly do the trick. would edlebrock probaly be the best way to go on the heads and cams? for the most hp? ive heard of guys putting in gt40 heads in there trucks. thanks for all the great ideas jwtalor probaly if i put this engine in ill have to put in a high hp tranny hu? driveline. thanks guys

edelbrock are nice/ afr are better, as far as, introductory aftermarket heads. Either way they can get you to where you wanna go. later

you will also need to upgrade you efi to mass air. this will still require a chip but gives more functionality.

get an 11 psi super charger and you will have plenty of power. Remember to change the oil and change it often.
