You are absolutely right. It is outragous for a V8. I have a v10! Woo Hoo.

Yes, I was just kidding. I get about 10-11 in town and 13-14 on the highway.

I live in Vegas and you have to climb out of the valley to go anywhere so I think I could easily get 15 or a little higher if I lived where is it flat.

I get around 12-13 around town and about 15-16 on the highway. It all depends on how you drive. Break-In.....DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!. A loose motor will get better gas mpg than one that was treated nicely. Anything that will break by beating it will happen in the warrenty period.

Spend the extra $$$ buy a diesel. Lots of power!!! By the way just for comparison my F250 PSD gets 19.5 mpg on the highway.

Wow! I'm new to this forum and am grateful to all of you for your response to my gas mileage question...Thank you!

bender97f250 said get a diesel...I'd love to but the price difference really surprised me....about $6,000.00...how do you find the noise level in the diesel?

Thanks again everyone!

Go drive a new 6.0 Powerstroke and you will be suprised how quiet it is.

If you buy the deisel make sure you get an '04 truck with an '04 motor and you will love it. The power/acceleration of the Powerstroke is great! The mileage is about 14-16 city 19-21 highway.
