Angry Broke my transmission again...

Damned C6 trannies! I think I broke this one (I broke my first taking off hard from a stop sign ) with my "wuss" I-6 again. I grabbed this tranny and rebuilt it and stuffed it into the truck. Hopefully it's just something awry in the valve body. I was going down the road last night and it started shifting funny, go up to 4500rpm in 1st and slam into 2nd and 3rd real quick. I put it in park and got out and checked the fluid (which was fine) and went home, and it shifted fine. This morning, I left for school and it was shifting fine for about 3 miles, then it started acting up again. Hopeing I could get to school for that damned exam, I went on and made it to about 200 yards from the school where it went into a neutral like state. All I got was nothing but a revving engine. I tried reverse and it was fine so I backed into the school. I got towed home and it's still doing about hte same thing, reverse is fine but no forward motion. When I shift through the gears from neutral, I'll get a jerking when I put it in 1. Any suggestions? I'll be tearing into it in about an hour.

Same problem i had bout a month ago, had reverse, but no drive gears. So tore it down to find out, the flex plate inside planetary carrier had shattered into three pieces, i just went ahead and rebuilt it, now i got another problem, every gear is in reverse neutral and park! Did you try replacing the mod valve or try adjusting the bands!

Neither yet....but right now I have the valve body out and no metal. The tranny was rebuilt with a new flexplate back in July when I broke this tranny. If I ever find my air chuck I'm gonna check out the enguagement of the clutch pack before I start pulling the tranny out.

So far...I'm in the process of dissasembling the valve body. I think I found the problem as the forward clutch assembly engages properly when using air. I'm 80% sure that the problem was caused by a stuck valve. I can't get it out of the valve body for anything. I've tried tapping it gently(no spare valvebody to play with) and using a magnet to get it out to no avail.

Keep me informed on what you find out, i'm curios on whats causing the problem. I should've had mine done by somebody that actually knew what they were doing unlike myself.

Wasn't the valvebody, it's probably something inside the tranny. I'll be pulling it sometime soon.
