want to buy 94 f-150??? need help!

i want to buy a '94 f-150 w/ a 4.9l i300, and 5spd. trans. 4x4. w/ 110,000 miles. was wondering if this motor is any good? i have not had good luck with fords in the past, but i hear the inline 6 is a long-lasting well built motor. i do hear that they leak oil, but this doesnt surprise me. all my other fords leaked oil all over my drive-way too. any info on these trucks will be greatly appreciated.

thanks, trey

Yes - they are a very good engine, the only weakness in that setup is the 5 speed, IMO they should have never put the M5OD into a 1/2 pickup. Inline 6 creates loads of torque just above idle, great for towing. As far as leaking oil, not really, I've never really heard that, and all the 300s I've owned have never leaked oil.
