How do you replace heating element in seat?

My 99 driver's heated seat stopped working. Brought it to the dealer and was told it was the heating element that needed to be changed and total cost would be $300. Has anyone successfully done this on their own and if so, please give me instructions on how to do this so I can save $200 in labor. Thanks!

My neighbour did it on his 99 and he's no master mechanic. He said he just took the seat apart and pealed the foam off of the element then stuffed the new one in.
