I'm trying to remove the center armrest on a 91 Ford Explorer XLT (front bench seat). I found one allen screw on the mount between the armrest and the driver's seat, but removing that didn't budge it. Are there other removal points before I get a crowbar out?

Does it have a zipper cover on it? If so try unzipping and pulling the cover back to find a mounting bolt. Sometimes after removing the bolt it has to be turned to a certain position to pull it off the stud.

 

Got it, thanks. Had to do a bit of cutting into the foam to figure out what the bolt took. Turns out it's a "star" head, but an allen wrench worked. For anyone needing to do this, the cutting isn't necessary. Open the cover and pull it a bit back; there is a small hole on the passenger seat side of the foam. You'll need a rather long wrench to get in there. Didn't check the size...
