Whats the best way 2-3" lift on 78 f150 4x4
#46
it really looks a lot like mine. of course it has larger everything.......i think someone has a bad case of little man syndrome....haha jk.....i plan on getting a bronco someday, and doing all that stuff to it, SAS, 460, zf D60 D70...etc, but trucks have too long of a wheelbase for my liking, but i still have fun with what i have.

I never saw this before. On Broncos, 1-1.25" is the most body lift one should do . . . but no one makes one so forget it. I suppose you could saw a 3" in half.
BTW the TTB under my F250 SD is almost the same as the one under my Bronco. The F250 as a Dana50 which isn't all that much better than the D44. It does have leaf springs though and 3/4 ton hubs.
Haynes calls it "IFS" and Chilton doesn't go there. Haynes is FOS. If I were to build a bad heavy truck I'd start with a 73-79 F350 "camper special" non rear duals because of the rear axle placement which is towards the end of the frame. The frame rails are taller too.
