vibrations
i feel vibrations at 50-75 mph ONLY when its cold outside.tires have been checked and balanced, rotated and still only in the winter months does the hum occur.its a reel deep tone and it occurred after a warranty repiar of replaced u joints, ball jiont and shimming of center drive shaft carrier.theyve removed the shims and still the same.my thoughts are in the rear axle nooooo!what do you all think,Ford is playing stupid.

no i priced a new truck there and bought it somewhere else(closer to my house and more of a friend)they seem to be putting it to ford when in warranty, they did alot more than i ask them to do!i should of known then.ex new ball joint, new power telescoping mirrors that had a paint defect new up date on tranny shiver, which they added a thicker radiator and a inline tranny filter and new u joints.AND i'll still always buy a ford.p.s.i like driving over things LIKE A ROCK!

I guess my point is this, you need to talk to the service manager and tell him that you expect him to get this covered by ford, exspecially if they were attempting to repair it while under warranty ("after a warranty repiar of replaced u joints, ball jiont and shimming of center drive shaft carrier")... trust me he will have your attention when you mention calling ford to complain.... Let me know how it goes....

well they called at 4:OOp.m. they cannot find anything that is worn or a problem.the took it for a drive a noticed my concern right away.everytrhing they did checks out fine they say,and now there is a 50 dollar diagnosis fee which i said fine, find the problem.i again reminded them that the noise was there after they shimmed the driveline and replaced only two out of three u joints, which i think they are somewhat embarressed about ,because all three u joints run together.they said they will continue working on it tommorrow.per their supvisor, which is new.

monday the 22nd i got my truck back!!! they replaced the enitr driveshaft and all the ujoints.they said the driveshaft was the culprit.i didnt argrue with them until he said i had to pay the 50 dollar diagnosis fee.i told them i dont think so they caused the problem to begin with when they replaced the u joints and shimmed the driveshafts carrier bearing.he said he will put it through as a warranty issue from back in january.the truck is like new now,MAN did i miss it.thank for your advise!
