One from a 429 or 370 truck engine will work.

The seller admits he doesn't know anything about it. It has the rear mounts on it for a medium duty truck and the clutch and flywheel he has is for the same thing. The flywheel is probably ext. balance and may not work on your motor. The bellhousing will fit a 460.

This IS the bellhousing you need for a BIGTRUCK with a 4 or 5 speed tranny. I have one just like it. If you don't think so check the numbers with Ford. This is my last reply to this subject.

you dont have to get all rude about it,as i know nothing about tranny's, and it said nothin about bolting up to a 5 speed, but thats beside the point, its off ebay already anyway, i was asking if you knew anywhere to buy a new one, the guy doesnt want to purchase anything off ebay as he has had bad look buying things off there.

Hi Dennis,
So your signature obviously says you have a 429 with a 4speed. How'd you put those together? Just get the pieces from one of the cars numberdummy mentioned? Or is there a thread with all that info? I have a DIVE casting 429 built to 1970 country squire specs with about 2k miles on the rebuild. It's in a lifted '79 f100 with a c6 I believe. I'm about 2 emails away from buying a stock 78 extended cab with a 400 and 4speed. I want to swap the motors and keep the Trans where they are, keep the 78 and sell the 79. I have a friend doing the swap for me but not sure they realize that engine Trans combo wasn't offered in a 4x4 truck then. Thanks!!
