transfer case fluid question

Hey, I was wondering if mobil 1 synthetic dextron 3 mercon fluid was alright for the transfer case and transmission.I know that you need a mercon rated fluid but was confused about seeing dextron 3 in the name. thanks

It's fine. Mobil 1 ATF is "dual rated" meaning it can be used for either Mercon or Dextron 3 applications.

better double check, alot of the zf 5 speeds take a synthetic mercon, not to be confused with mercon III or mercon V.
