Is there ever a need for inside storage in a super cab?

Is there ever a need for inside storage in a super cab?
The other decision relating to my F150 is tied to whether I'm going to buy a super cab or a regular cab. I'm leaning toward a regular cab for the following reasons:
1. The truck will be 2 feet shorter. This means that it will be easier to turn, easier to park (especially in narrow, city parking garages), and easier to drive in downtown Boston (where the streets are like narrow cow paths).
2. The truck will be $2500 less expensive.
3. The cab will probably be more structurally sound than a super cab configuration.
The normal Ford cab does have the rear doors, and offers about a foot of storage space behind the front seats. I'm guessing that I can fit groceries, a laptop or even my two dogs back in that space. I don't have rug rats so I don't have to worry about family issues here. I also rarely carry more than one person in my vehicle, so I don't care much about back seats.
Is there ever a time that I might need the additional inside space? Do most people find that they put everything in the truck bed when they drive, or are there times where the inside space is a godsend?
Thanks

i agree with you on the regular cab, especially with the setup of the new 150. If you need more dry storage space, get a bed box. Give you a little more locking space, and you still have almost all of your bed, underneath the box too. I would say go for the reg cab. I also know there were structural issues with the ext cabs in crash tests, once they started putting the extra doors in. just a nicer level of safely if you dont normally have ny nded for the back seat.
