Two bad coil packs in 35k miles

I had a coilpack replaced about 8 mos. ago under warranty and now I have another bad one. The difference is that my warranty is out by 38 days. The dealership says they can't cover it and Ford customer service is giving me the runaround.
Have any of you experienced similar things? Am I going to have a bad coilpack every 12 k miles or so?
How do I get Ford to cover this??

Thanks,

Matt Palmer

Unfortunately they seem to be a weak point, particularly the back ones (#4 & #8). I think Ford is well aware of the problem. You will have to be persistant. If the dealer cares about keeping you as a customer, I think he will at least reduce the cost. Mine did.
