"spray can" bedliner

Anyone tried the spray on bedliner that you do yourself with spray cans? Is it any good? I'm skeptical 'cause if it was even half as good, why would I want to pay the high price for the pro-sprayed stuff.? Thanks for your thoughts/experiences.

Like the rattlecan stuff? I spray my toolbox with it, and it's peeling real easy. I did use the real cheap stuff though.....

I tried Oreilly stuff, it sucked
Basically a flat black paint
I dunno about the better stuff tho
But I dont see how they can spray chunks of stuff out of a rattle can

They have the same stuff that u roll on. Its in a gallon jug, and u have to sand your bed, make sure all of the dust and rust and stuff is off. It has to be completely clean, then u roll it on like paint. Wait for an hour or so, then roll another coat on. It tells on the can how many layers u have to put on. Im thinking they want it like 1/4-3/4 inch thick. Ive heard its pretty good stuff.

I was thinking about getting a spray on bedliner but i heard Rhino Linings charges about 300 or 400 dollars but they repair for free if it comes off. I dunno if thats true...

A friend of mine sanded and acoholed the metal and it still flaked off in about a month. The type he used was a blue gallon jug from oriellys.

I used the jug from wal-mart on my bronco bed back in summer and it sticks well. You have to put at least two coats on and should do it on a day with relativley low humidity. My buddy has a jeep with spray on and roll on from wally world on the exterior and it works great.

i would pay it to have done...LineX is by far the best! My dad put it in his bed....and my truck has it in the bed and in the cab! comes with a warranty. WHen I built my bumper I painted it with spray on bedliner so that when i scratched it up i could easily and very cheaply touch it up!

be sure to prep it (go overkill) b/c prepping it will determine whether or not it stays for a long time!
