60 radiator

I need a new radiator for my 60. I have been to two local shops
and they tell me they cannot get a core and I am tired of paying
for patch jobs. I know L** sells one but does anyone know of
any other sources? I am not interested in buthering my radiator
support to make a later model fit.
Thanks,
jt

I believe mac's auto parts carry some. There have been a few 57-60 6cyl ones on ebay. I think I might need one too. I'm going to look in a few mags. I know a friend who's 63 unibody's one blew, and a local shop had one extremely close in appearance. -4speed

There's a radiator company called Radiator Doctor selling new radiators on Ebay at very reasonable prices. I don't know anything about them, but it's a source...I was thinking of checking with him for one for my 48. He recently had a 3 row 64-66 V8 Mustang (item 24458) radiator for less than $100 and only $15 shipping which I think might fit my 48 with a little fabrication.

After much searching I have the answer to my question on a new
60 radiator. It appears that there is no new core available for the
stock radiator. The original is a staggered 2-row with 3/4 inch tubes on about 9/16 - 5/8 centers and flat plate fins. This was a good design and mine always ran extremely cool (until it got rotten with age). L** truck sells a 3-row for $290.
Auto-Krafters has a two-row for $209 and 4-row for $264.95.
They could only give the core deminsions so I inquired about their
supplier. U. S. radiator makes the radiators for them, and their
website lists more detailed deminsions for the radiator. They
have several designs with 2,3,and 4 row options within each
design and have pictures of each radiator and cutaways for the
various options. The one AK sells is the OEM style. A-Ks price
and shipping was less than US Radiator's and they were extremely easy to deal with. A-K has online catalog at autokrafters.c** . I ordered the 4 row. Will update when
I receive it and get it installed.
US Radiator can be found at usradiator.c**. Note: I am in no way affiliated with either of these companies.

60 radiator

I forgot to update on the Auto-Krafters radiator install. As noted
above, I ordered the 4-row oem style. The radiator was an exact fit for the
60. The mounting flanges on the sides had correct holes and looked identical
to my original radiator. The bottom hose was located outboard about
1 inch due to the transmission cooler in the new radiator. This would not be
a problem if running y-block. Since I have FE, I had previously mounted my
original radiator about an inch forward and somewhat lower than stock which precipitated notching the front crossmember for the lower hose. I had to
make this notch a little wider and deeper with the new radiator.
The top tank is not attached to the radiator core with as steep an angle as
the original radiator. However, it is barely noticeable in the truck.
It runs just as cool as my original radiator did which always ran about 1/4
of the way up on the gauge. At this point I am well satisfied with the
replacement.
