Mass-air on 5.8l...
Hello. I am starting my 351w rebuild and am shooting for about 350 hp. I will be converting to mass-air using a Lightning lower intake w/ a gt-40 upper. I will be using the other parts from a Mustang. Do I need to swap computer, throttle body, etc? I already figured I would need to swap injectors. This is not going to be a radical engine by any means, as I want to build it into a torque monster (going into a '68 EB). Any suggestions???

You will need a computer, a mass air meter, a wiring harness, a throttle body for the GT40 manifold, possibly an EGR spacer (although I don't know how those work on a Lightning), injectors must match the mass air meter calibration, other than that, you probably won't need anything bigger than 24 lb/hr. If you are wanting a torque monster, have you looked at Edelbrock's EFI truck intakes? If you went with the truck intake, you'd have to get a y-pipe for the intake to split the one tube from the MAF into two for the truck twin throttle body (you wouldn't have to do that with the GT40). The wiring will need a lot of work to convert to mass-air regardless of which intake manifold you use, but I see you have a '68, so I assume you'd be buying a wiring harness anyway. I hope I've answered a few of your questions, maybe I've given you a few more...if you have any more, don't hesitate to ask.
