Hows the weather in detroit?
I'm a college student taking a class on weather and climate. I have to do 2 page (typed-double spaced) report on the weather/climate in Detroit MI. I need to report on the following one might encounter while visiting:
General description of the physical environment
Impact of latitude and altitude on Insolation and Terrestrial Radiation
Impact of surrounding environment (water vs land, urban versus rural, etc)
Seasons
Humidity and Precipitation (annual, monthly, seasonal)
Forms of precipitation (with typical monthly accumulations)
Air pressure
Temp (monthly averages, high/lows, range, etc)
Macroscale Prevailing winds
Mesoscale Localized Winds
Dominating Air mases
Potential hazardous weather
Now some of this information might not apply because this is from an outline for 24 different locations for others (I picked detroit) in the class. The paper is a write up summarizing the typical (and atypical) weather/climate variables that are reported on TV weather analyses, in an atlas/almanac, or on NOAA radio. I'm having trouble locating information, anyone able to help?

"It's cool, it's cold, it's colder, it's too cold, it's too colder, then it gets warmer, then it gets warm, then it gets hot, then," . . you guessed it.
Repeat as necessary to fill two double typed pages.
Oh, and the physical environment - that might fill the 2nd page !! Here:
"The Water: It's cool, it's cold, it's colder, it's too cold, it's too colder, then it gets warmer, then it gets warm, then it gets nice and warm, then," . . you guessed it.
Feel free to qoute me as your source
P.S. Don't forget to use a really large font.

When you got a city as ugly as Detroit- who cares about the weather
Seriously though- it is actually harder than thought to get historical weather data- NOAA appears to exist for the purpose of selling weather info to news stations rather than to give the data to taxpayers.
