I've had my '67 F250 4x4 Highboy, longbed, for 45 years, and now have no clue as to how many miles. The speedometer cable broke at 243,755 miles. After that, since it has a winch and boom, I put in an hour meter, as plenty of motor time, was sitting still using the winch. After 2379 hours, the hour meter quit. After another year, I rebuilt the motor, which was 5 years ago. It was still running, when I pulled it, but it was tired and cranky. The newly rebuilt 300 IL 6, is a very healthy, 6, with lots of upgrades from the original factory, and I expect it to last way beyond my years..

I just have 53K on my 05 6.0 S/D F250. Just changed the oil tranny fluid and all filters oil, fuel and tranny today pulled that stock water drain plug and put that brass on in its place and getting ready to yank the starter and put one of those brass flush valve in that drain port above starter and do the coolant wed. Its what came in with it new. I have the restore now and waiting for the restore + both shipped the same day one arrived in 2 days one still MIA.. Oh question is there anything I need to do too reboot the OBD after batteries have been removed ?
Should I keep 12v and 2amps going through lighter to be safe ? I'm no guru genius but who the hell at FORD spent any time at a engineering school and said hey lets put the main fuel filter RIGHT HERE LOL I say that every yr when I do the filters under there.
But if anyone ha any tips about yanking both batteries I'd appreciate the info. I don't think it would be a real issue ? But I ask 1st. Its cheaper and less time consuming then asking after the fact

Took a 6000 mile road trip last month and rolled past 228K on mine. Great truck! 1500 miles in to the trip the injector knock was completely gone for the first time. Not sure if it was the fuel quality or the altitude in the Rockys? It came back a little bit on the way home but still better than ever. We did some off roading in Dixie NF (not the most ideal vehicle with Supercab and 8ft bed but the truck was amazing!) and over the two Weeks in southern UT had some rain to deal with on gravel and muddy roads and she never missed a beat. Can't see getting rid of her........, but the New 6.7 is attractive.
