'99 F350 XLT SD, Crew Cab, DRW, Long bed, 4X4 (6X6) with a 7.3L rolling on towards 123K now. I think I've contributed enough to the local Sinclair station owner by now to put his child through college But you gotta love the air up here.

Hope the '06 6.0 Lariat does as well.

Question How'd THAT happen Cap'n?

Gosh, how did that happen...did it eat your truck or crush it? Hope you're OK.

I've just had my transmission die on me. I know that there have been a lot of people to post about the 4R100 trnny being lousy but mine lasted 208,000 miles. That's the upside. The downside is that I'm spending $1,700 on parts to do the work myself. About half of that is going inside the tranny. The other half is for an auxillary cooler and better torque converter. I sure as heck hope that I can do this job right. I've never overhauled an auto transmission.

I'm up to about 5 1/2 thousand and await the magic 7,500 to see what happens with the V-10.

Does it occur right as the 7500 mark goes by, or the next time you start it? Just wondering.

Is it really noticeable?
