Past June took delivery of white 2016 Ford 250 SD XL, 6.2 gas, 4x4, super cab long bed, 3.73 elect locking axle, trailer brake system, tow package, skid plates. Have added Undercover bed cover and pair of Undercover swing out boxs, now wife wants 5th wheel, replaced factory radio with Kenwood to have Sirius, and step rail. For now only towing Keystone Mini 21 footer. I was thinking bigger TT but wife has convinced me otherwise.
First tow was about 5 hours south into head wind, 7.8mpg, going home ran into norther, strong north head wind home But only have a little over 2000 miles, hoping for improvement once engine loosens up a little.
Well guys, after calculating mileage on my old 68 F250, 4x4 Highboy, I have just over 710,000 miles. 48 years x 14,700 miles per year, plus some hours pulling with the winch. I am on the 2nd motor, as wore the first 300 IL 6 out completely. It has been through a cab-off, frame-up complete restoration, with total running gear rebuild. I am sure that it will easily make the 1 million mile mark, and beyond.
