Recently let go of my 99 F250 SD. It now has 357,000. It's still in operation and not going to the junk yard yet. Still runs like a watch and burns no oil. However it is difficult to get a decent price for a truck with that many miles on it. It owes me nothing and is without a doubt the best vehicle I have ever owned. I just didn't need that kind of truck anymore. I picked up a very nice F150 Lariat. but I do miss the SD. After 14 years and 357,000 miles you do get attached to it.

That's great to hear. Hopefully the 150 will last half as long. That will just about put me in the "too old to drive" category. I prefer to keep my vehicles as Ford delivered them. Pure stock and everything must work as designed. The 99 F250 looked exactly like it did in 98 when delivered. Still shined, interior clean and all original. What a truck!

My Ford history:
85 Mark 7........... 350,000 miles
89 Mustang..........250,000 (had to put an engine in that one. Wife's car)
95 Tbird..............320,000 (Son was in college)
95 F150..............280,000
96 F150..............230,000
99 F250..............357,000
09 Fusion............85,000 Wife's care-she don't drive much
04 F150...............Who knows?
Always bought Chevys until they sold me a 6.2 diesel. Never hit 100k on one of them. Do you think I should try GM again?

Wow, does your engine ever get to cool off? Thats a lot of miles in a short period of time. How do you like the Ecoboost & what kind of MPG do you get. I've considered selling my 04 F150 & getting an Ecoboost.
