Great truck and even better motor. Ford did it really right with these model years.

From what I am seeing on this thread the worst motor ever, the 6.0, looks like if left stock can go for a very long time as well. There are several listed in the 300,000 mile range still going strong already. When I first got mine I ran into a commercial hauler with a 6.0 that claimed 900,000 on the motor but he had changed everything many times except the motor. He swore on Lucas as the reason the engine lasted so long. Him and his brother hauled 24/7 when they could up and down I-5 on the pacific coast. That was in 2008 and the truck was a 2003

Now its up to you to beat this guy to prove the 7.3 is better

Unhappy 11 years old and time

Just traded my dear old friend, a 2003 F150 XLT with 139,000 kms. She will be missed and was amazing right up to the last few months- then everything started to fall apart. The upside is, we now own a 2014 FX4.
Somehow this got into the wrong area. sry.

1995 F-150 4.9L Just over 250K... Had 93K when I bought it in 2002, It's taken me all over the country and I've never been scared of being stranded. Super smooth and quite still to this day. Can't wait to tell my kids, "in your dreams", when they ask to drive it or have it.

2001 F250 that i bought in '05 with 50k on the clock, i turned 296,000 on it yesterday.....original sticks, turbo, fuel pump, etc.....most replacement have been normal wear items, brakes, alternator, water pump, and front bearings 3x. I did just changed out the trans for a BTS, but it wasnt because of failure, it was because of opportunity and pushing the 300k number. Still going strong.....
