My 98 f150's engine (4.2 v6) went out so I bought a 02's engine (4.2 also). I noticed the intakes are different amongst a whole lot of electrical connections. The engine runs in the truck but the temperature sensor does not work. I could not find any hook up for the temp sensor anywhere. The check engine light is coming on and i believe it is related to the temp sensor. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Secondly, I'm not sure off the top of my head where the sensor is, but I'd just call the local dealer and ask. Shouldn't be too difficult. Anyways, did you do any research before you did the swap as to what needs to go where and such?
