1988 F-150 Headlight Removal
I want to remove the left headlight (not the bulb) from my truck and see why I am getting condensation in it and dry it out. My question is how do you take it out? Looking at it, the only way I see is backing all the way out on the adjuster screws, is this the way it comes out?

No, you should be able to unhook the adjusters from the core support and pull it all at once. I wouldn't try unscrewing the adjusters - they might not go back in easily. Check this site for instruction.
But you should be able to see a rock peck in the front of the lens where the water is going in - just seal it with silicone or super glue.

Senior Chief;
Pull the coolant tank and the Washer fluid tank. The headlight assy. attaches with 4 studs to the body. 10mm nuts (It ain't a Fairbanks 3-8-1/8 but what the heck!) remove the nuts and pull the whole assy from the front.
The perimeter seam is probably letting go. Dry the assy with a hair dryer and seal the joint with Clear RTV. Just don't seal up the drain hole(s) in the bottom if it has them.

I have some pics for removing my right assy. on a '90. Follow the links
Removal of plastic push rivets above grille
Grille Tab lock location
Upper inner nut location(nut removed)Lower hidden
Outer nut location(nut removed)Lower hidden
also a screw holding sheet metal trim above bumper on the assembly 8mm needs to be removed as well. This is the right assembly as well. I needed to remove the battery to do this. You probably have to remove the washer reservoir/coolant overflow tank to do this for the left side. There may also be plastic push rivets holding your grille on near the tab locations.
Hope this helps.
