New Ranger, Older Tail lights, 3bulbs-2

I have a 94 Ford Ranger, but somebody wrecked my bed. I bought an 89 bed and it fits fine but my original tailights had 3 bulb (brake, blinker, reverse). The one that fits my bed is only 2 bulbs. I need a either a wiring diagram, wire harnesss adapter, or after market lights for an 89 that have 3 seperate bulbs.

You are trying to change a seperate blinker system to an older combined one. I say system, because the whole thing is different. A couple of things come to mind that may work for you.

Drill an extra hole in the back of the light housing, and add a socket and bulb.

or, another thought came to mind.

They make electronic adapter boxes for trailers, and most all the auto parts stores sell them. When people try to tow a trailer with a truck with the seperate bulbs, they need this adapter that combines the seperate system into the older single light system so the trailer lights work correctly.

What you could do is buy one of these boxes(I bought one for about $12.00) and wire it in so it will combine the seperate signals from the truck into your older single bulb light housings. The reverse bulb will be un-affected by any of this.

I used one of these boxes to combine an add-on signal box to the brake switch signal in my old 53 f100, and it worked fine.
