How much for Extended Warranty?

My new 2004 F-150 Lariat Supercab (Extended cab) was shipped 11/21/03. I should be getting it and day now.

How much are you paying for extended warranties and from who? In other words who has the best deals?

That's what I'm asking. How much are people getting it for? What are the dealers taking?

Smile FORD ESP ANSWER

I am a Financial Services Manager otherwise known as a F&I Mgr. at a Ford dealership in South Texas and the price that you guys are paying is a really fair price for the warranty. Suggested retail for a 6yr or 75k mile Premium care from Ford is as follows

2 wheel drive = $1550
4 wheel drive = $1710

I really don't see how you can say that. It comes with a 3 yr / 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

With a 6 yr / 75,000 warranty you are only actually getting and an additional 3 yr / 39,000 miles. A bit high even at $1000 if you ask me and most extended warranties are only for 5 yr. Even more high.

You already had a 3 yr / 36,000 bumper to bumper. What you got for $1300 was a 2 yr / 64,000 mile power train warranty.

My Harley riding guys al get ex war. and then when they need something done evereything goes on the ex war. even the first year stuff. Makes a person wonder?
1300.00 and everything is covered anyway for first 3 years. 1300 in the bank or if your paying interest on that 1300 then that's a lot of money. You could fix most anything out of pocket for that or a bit more. Also most big companies like ford and HD and Chev. will work with an owner to resolve problems.

More like $10,000.00

I paid 750 for a 5/60 (or 2/24k if you want to calll it that) ExtraCare. I figure I'll keep it 4 yrs or so, then sell it. If I can claim it has a 1 yr (10-12K hopefully) warranty on it I bet I can recoup the 375$ and it will be very easy to sell, the main thing used car buyers want is peace of mind..
They claimed that was at or near cost, Im not sure. There was a less expensive powertrain only option and a more expensive premium option, that covered everything.
