straight up timeing power increase?

hi all. i was wondering how much more power a straight up gear set will give me? hp and tourque.
my 460 engine is out of a 76 couger XR7.
it runs really good but leaks out of front seal, rear seal, valve covers, oil pan ect. doesnt burn oil.
i figured since i was going to reseal it this winter i was going to replace the timeing gear set also.
when i do the swap is there any thing else i have to do?
will my timeing have to be set different than before?
how about plug gap and plug type , will they stay the same?

thanks to all who reply

Straight up timing will help, I believe 72-87 are 4 degrees retarded, plus when the timing set wears the timing is even more retarded probaly more like 6-8 degrees. Everything else should stay the same. You will have to re-time the motor of coarse.
