Sirius Satellite Radio

The following information is pasted from the Sirius Website. Does anyone know anything about Ford offering Sirius in Expeditions or F150s for 2004?

Ford Motor Company and SIRIUS will offer satellite radio as a dealer-installed option on ten different Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles in the 2004 model year including Ford’s Thunderbird, Mustang, Explorer, Sport Trac and Expedition

From the things I have read it is offered with the upgraded Kenwood stereo system. It can be added to any stereo with a FM modulator with out having to go through ford.

FYI you can have a lifetime membership for $399. The dealers state that it is a $13. per month plan. If you have the upgrade done ask them to throw in the lifetime policy. would not be a bad addition to a 40K sale.

I have it and love it, but I only commited to the liftime deal when I found out that the broad cast all the NHL games. XM does not and charges for misc extra stations.

P.S. Go to www.sirius.com and look at the comparison for what they offer and sample the different stations.

How do you like the sound quality? I've heard there is so much compression in satelite radio the you get artifacts like whoshing etc.

Hertz is installing Sirius in rental cars. I had it in a Hertz Escape awhile back, and it worked great. There were a couple places that the signal from the satellite dropped out, but other than that,
it sounded great!!!
