Moving up in the world!
I've finally found a 460!
I went to a salvage yard today looking for bucket seats out of a newer bronco for my 79' Ford pickup. I had no luck, but I did find a few buckets out of a mustang GT that I liked.. Anyway I stumbled across a 76' Thunderbird, it was a faily decent looking car, restorable. My friend was with me. I told him, I bet theres a 460 in that land yot, he said no, its prolly a 400. So we walked over to it an poped the hood to find what I expected, a 460!
My eyes got really big..lol
this weekend we are going back and pulling it. The guy told me if I came and pulled it myself that he'd let it go for 75 bucks, I told him I'll be back saturday. Is that a good year for the 460?
I mean by casting flaws and stuff that nature?
Thats always how it turns out for me I go looking for something and find someing else. Im not complaning
