The rarest factory installed parts that I know of are in my buddy's garage. 1) ash trays for a crew cab that mount on the pillar between the front and rear doors (happen to be NOS). 2) by far the rarest part (I wonder if numberdummy or mike O have ever even heard of it) a passenger side shoulder harness seatbelt delete plate that covers the hole in the pillar where the retract mechanism goes. Was installed at the factory on a 78 or 79 bronco that was special ordered with a drivers (bucket) seat only, no other seat was installed.

Now that you mention that, I remember seeing them in a CC in my local JY. And here is an old pic, and you can barely see them. But you can see the bump with the lid open.

Personally I've never seen one but it is in the parts catalog.
Cover, front seat shoulder harness strap opening
78-79 Bronco w/o passenger seat
Paint to match-not replaced
D8TZ-9860230-B

Kinda strange on this one, there's a black star by the part number which usually means its not sold over the counter as a replacement part and there's a note in the description line that says 'not replaced', but it has a part number and the notation 'paint to match', odd.

What about the black sport mirrors? Really have not seen them on any trucks other than mine and a pace truck.

You mean the type 9's painted black, the ones on my 79 parts Bronco were black and appeared OEM? What is this "Sport" mirror? I'm looking for a pic for you.

Was 6 leaf front springs, on a 1979 F250, an option?

Ref. our 75 F-150 ID tag on the drivers door: color is blank
It was ordered by Minneapolis Minn dealer as a Viking Edition Ranger XLT
The color, of course, from the factory is purple.
Options include 390, C-6, radio, a.c. and a 3rd horn mounted on the left side of the
radiator. It's plastic pointing down. The musical chord is real nice.

The 6 digit number on the right lower line of the ID tag reads 581392

I also have an Invoice sheet without prices. The 2nd last line reads SPECIAL ORDER 58 1392
The last line reads SPECIAL PAINT OPTION 02

What does the DSO numbers mean 58 1392? & PAINT OPTION 02?

More than likely you have a six digit DSO instead of the normal two digit.
When dealers special ordered a particular color the paint code was left blank and if needed, the dealer had to contact Ford and furnish the six digit code. Ford would then furnish them the paint formula for the color.
This was most often done on fleet orders for government, and large commercial fleet owners.

By the way, my wife hates the truck. She wants me to sell it.
I would consider selling it provided the buyer does not make it back into a street rod.

John, has your wife driven your truck? Just because she doesn't like it doesn't mean you should get rid of it. As I recall, you have several vehicles she can pick from to drive.

On a old high boy yes, was standard equipment. On 77.5 to 79 its a 2 leafs standard and have a little negative arch to them.
